Evoland 2 | Settings

Recently, developer Shiro Games announced that they would be working on a sequel to their first game, Evoland. This new game, Evoland 2: A Slight Case of Space Time Continuum Disorder, will not only show off the evolution of gameplay and graphics in RPGs but also an evolution of humanity as you travel through 3 different time periods in the game. Here’s a quick look at the past timeline.

Along with the graphical and time changes, there will also be variations when it comes to gameplay. Shiro Games has already shown off some of them with turn-based tactical combat, platforming, and shoot ‘em up gameplay. They also promise that this will be “a much bigger game” than the first.

IMPRESSIONS: Sentris

Sentris | oprainfall

Recently, I got my hands on an Alpha copy of Sentris. If you haven’t heard of it, Sentris is a game that very much a cross between Tetris and Guitar Hero. The developers describe it as a chance to explore music only you can make, while, of course, solving the puzzles. Figuring I like bright colors, fun and music, I hopped aboard and decided to to check it out on Steam.

When you fire up the game…

Disgaea 5 Coming to North America and Europe

Disgaea 5 | TGS 2014

NIS America has announced at TGS that they plan on bringing Disgaea 5 to North America and Europe at a special press event. Seeing as how the Disgaea series is Nippon Ichi Software’s flagship series, I suppose this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. But regardless, it is still good to hear for fans of the series.

It has also been stated that Japanese pre-orders will come with a download…

Smashing Saturdays! Week 46: September 15-19, 2014

Smashing Saturdays! Week 46: September 15-19, 2014

This week was a nice transition from the somewhat humdrum screens from the previous week of Smashing Saturdays. I just felt Sakurai was overly technical, and wasn’t posting very interesting-looking pics. Granted, I enjoyed the information, but, given the revelation of the leaked roster, I want more visual entertainment than anything. That, or perhaps more details on the Custom Moves for players,…

OPINION: Nobody is Playing Mega Man Properly in Smash Bros

OPINION: Nobody is Playing Mega Man Properly in Smash Bros

Opinion - Mega Man | oprainfall

I have to get something off my chest. I love that Mega Man is playable in the new Smash Bros, but I’m beyond irritated by a recurring pattern I keep hearing, which goes as follows: “Mega Man is too hard to play well in Smash!” Now, as many of you likely haven’t had the chance to play Smash Brosextensively yet, you’re probably thinking I’m talking crap, but let me clarify. I have now played the…
